The second point on this is legitimate and I absolutely agree. However.
I dislike the fact that violence and intimidation against women by men is reduced to how it affects men. Don’t say you “resent the implication”, say you resent that you and other men were socialized to use physical intimidation and force to get your way. Don’t resent that women don’t want to walk alone at night, or carry mace, or don’t want to talk to you on the bus. Resent the fact that you live in a society where violence is an acceptable means of communication, and change it. You are in a position of power. Use it.
